GAP MTN. LIONS CLUB
From the Issue:
June 2010Our own Club member Lion Lucille Decatur will be sworn in as the District Governor for District 44N. We wish her the best for the coming Lion year.
Our big project for June will be the Relay for Life scheduled for June 4th and 5th, overnight. We have been busy on projects to raise money for our team. We hope that you will plan to attend this event and help us reach our monetary goal. We are planning to have sandwiches and home made cookies available for sale and will be more than pleased to accept donations all night long. If you haven’t attended a Relay for Life event, you should plan to come by MRHS between 6 PM Friday and 12 noon Saturday to walk a lap or two with us, and you will come away with a very good feeling. Please contact Jeanne Drugg jeannedrugg@hotmail.com or Jen Nye sjscasl7@aol.com for more information.
On July 23rd the club will be on the Common in Troy to start off the Old Home Days there by once again cooking our delicious chicken BBQ.
Please contact any member of our club if you are in need of eyeglasses or hearing aids. We welcome guests to attend our monthly meetings. Next meeting will be June 3rd, downstairs at Meadowood’s Friendly Meals site.
